Sexy Breakfast Issue 1: What if... breakfast but sexier?
I have been making strange breakfasts. Now I'm making a strange breakfast newsletter... with you every Sunday.
The Dutch eat marzipan at breakfast time. I’m into it.
Jamaicans serve up saltfish. I’m into it.
Maasai people have been known to drink cow’s blood as a morning pick-me-up.
I’d try it.
Japan loves Miso Soup and fish. I really like it.
So… that’s what this newsletter is about.
Every week I’ll send you one strange recipe for something I ate for breakfast and I’ll talk to someone else interesting about what they love to eat for breakfast and their wider breakfast routine.
Welcome to Sexy Breakfast!
This week’s recipe:
Ingredients:
1 fresh grapefruit
Sea salt
Fresh rolls
Bacon
Onion powder
Olive oil
Couscous salad
A small knob of butter
Method:
Slice the grapefruit into wedges. Sprinkle with salt. Plate.
Slice the rolls, add sauces of your choice (I like hot sauce mixed with ketchup or burger sauce), spread the fried couscous salad on the other side.
Fry the bacon with olive oil and the small knob of bacon. Make sure the oil and butter are very hot when before you add the bacon. Add the onion powder — a small amount — about halfway through your bacon cook.
Add the cooked bacon to the rolls, assemble and serve.
